dresden codak
dresden codak does some really creative things with computer painting and storytelling. a one-two punch of vivid colours and intense oneironautic philosophy.

electric sheep
patrick farley's menagerie of comics, with everything from autobiographical confessionals to sci-fi to the book of revelations in manga form. these comics are well-written, well-drawn and always surprising.

last kiss comics
made from the recycled rags of an old romance comic, with twisted, new dialogue by disney writer john lustig. last kiss is sexy silliness at it's most absurd! updated every saturday, with a huge archive, this is the sort of (nearly) wholesome internet fun that makes you laugh out loud and email all your friends.

news

bbc news
yes, you've probably known about it since the birth of christ but some people still use their own biased local media conglomerate for news. okay, okay. so we both agree that bbc news is the best site to go to. sheesh, i wish i'd never mentioned it.
fortean times

star wars databank
a huge online database of all the characters, vehicles, species and organisations from the star wars monster. have you ever wondered how old darth maul was when palpatine recruited him? no? well you probably wouldn't like this site then.
super shadow
some people are far, far more obsessed with star wars than me. i mean, i don't really care what kit fisto's mitichlorian count is. and i think the stuff about 7, 8 and 9 is made up. but this is still a pretty ultimate look at the sextet and i visit it more than i'm wiling to admit.
